COUNTER-FLOW HEAT EXCHANGER FOR ADIABATIC COOLING
COUNTER-FLOW HEAT EXCHANGER FOR ADIABATIC COOLING
The Hydro model can be used as a counter-flow heat exchanger in winter with up to 90% efficiency, as well as in summer for an active cooling process through evaporation.
We invite you to view a video to learn how a counter-flow hydro heat exchanger works
COUNTER-FLOW HYDRO HEAT EXCHANGER BRINGS AIR COMFORT IN WINTER AND SUMMER
- At an outdoor air temperature of 35°C (blue line), the supply air temperature often reaches 30°C (red line) if traditional domestic ventilation systems are used.
- Spraying water onto the extract air duct keeps the supply air temperature at a comfortable level of 21°C (green line).
TEMPERATURE CURVE OF A DOMESTIC VENTILATION SYSTEM WITH 85% EFFICIENCY
AIR-COOLED HEAT EXCHANGER FOR VENTILATION SYSTEMS UP TO 5000 M3/H
In HVAC systems, counter-flow heat exchanger plates are sprayed with water through fixed nozzles. An electronic device controls the correct application of water quantity on the plate’s surface according to specific necessities. The hydro model can be used in both domestic ventilation systems and data center cooling systems.
The HX diagram shows that PCF Hydro acts as a cooler on the inlet airside. In most cases, active evaporative cooling is more than enough to provide a comfortable supply of air even on very hot days.
